Just place the E-500RT in your gun safe or RV or anyplace that moisture creates a problem and the Eva-dry will go to work silently and without power. Once the unit is to capacity, the indictor window will change from blue to pink. Once pink, simply fold out the hidden plug found underneath and plug it in for 12-14 hours. This will activate the internal heating element and will dry the unit out and it will be ready to use all over again for up to 10 years
